[ The Cargo Bag is probably still a disaster from the fighting, but at the very least, they could find a quiet corner to talk in. Maybe see if they could do anything while they were there. Steve is sort of playing it by ear, but he'll be waiting for him whenever he decides to show up. ]
[ Bucky comes by, frowning at the damage to the cargo bay even if he's probably a small part of what contributed to that damage in the first place.
He'd been working with Tony to secure the area, and now that it'd all over, the remains of the battle are a reminder of what's happened. Steve looks well, he thinks; no obvious injuries, and his gaze immediately go to his throat. The bruises aren't there anymore, but Bucky doesn't forget. ]
[ Steve's own expression is light, the mix of a frown and something perplexing as he waits for Bucky to meet him, and by then, he's already decided that he'd probably come back later to help pick up the pieces of all the supplies they must have lost. (Idly, he hopes the captains know what they're doing. Not so idly, he's sure they don't have a clue like the rest of them.) But Steve smiles when he notices Bucky, nodding his own greeting. ]
Hey. [ And he pushes up from where he's sitting on one of the overturned crates, not missing where his eyes settle but not wanting to point it out either. He's already told him that hadn't been his fault. They would work through it just like everything else. ] Have you been down here since the fight? I'd hate to see the other ship. [ The joke is light, trying to break the tension and pausing before adding: ] Up for a walk?
[ That little icebreaker earns a small smile from Bucky; he knows what Steve is doing, and it's working, just a little. They haven't quite had a conversation that isn't emotionally charged, but this is a good start.
Bucky's curious, too, but checks that instinct as he nods. ] Sure. Around here?
[ He's good with that; spending time with Steve is always a good thing -- the man has a way of settling Bucky, making him feel a little more like himself again, whatever that had been. He falls into step with him, hands in the pockets of his coat. ] What's going on?
